    Default Seismic decks

    Yes, decks...

Seismic is offering an updated version of the 3dm deck(s). It's almost identical to the 3dm boards, but does not have the convex top surface. Two sizes: 30" and 36". Construction is glass, foam, and other good stuff, and they're really nice looking decks. Price is approx $150, which isn't cheap, but is on par with similarly-constructed boards. For a (large) pic, see the following URL:

I saw one at the first Mile High Rollers shindig, and it was beautiful. Very simple and understated, and yet quite elegant. I didn't get to ride it, however. I may bite the bullet and get one for myself to test out, though.

    It's expensive to be king.

But seriously, I feel a whole lot better about selling stuff that I've actually ridden. I'll be the first to admit that guys like Ian can skate circles around me, but I do cast a pretty critical eye to what I sell/stock.

Mark, if you ever want a test monkey, I'll be that monkey... err... man. If you want feedback on anything I have purchased from you, let me know. I'd be happy to give you my opinions, observations, and a description of how they compared to my expectations.

    Nice!
The old ones with the rolled edges are awesome boards... I would imagine these are, too....

You did have all those helmets that you were going to do impact testing on didn't you, Mark? Looks like you found a volenteer. So do you start with the deep end drop test or fly-away board impact test?

    Mark,

Do you know how much camber those have? If I remember right the old ones had 1". Which for me was a bit much for a slalom board.

I'll check with Dan and see if they changed it.
