Silverfish Having issues?

Started about 5 o'clock. Been having huge issues accessing the forums. Wondering if it's my ISP or if others are experiencing issues. Most other web pages work fine, but there's more than usual that are down.

IMO, more people need to support the Fish.

About once a day I will get a pink screen with some error code, can't remember what it says (I will copy and paste next time I get it) it will usually last for 10-20 mins. During that time silverfish comes up with that same screen no matter what I do e.g. refresh the page, access pages via google etc

I won't ever.

I can't access the front page or gear reviews or anything besides the forum actually.
I set Silverfish to stop sending me emails about thread updates. In my preferences it so says"No Email Notification". Guess who still gets a ####-load of emails from silverfish.

But it's free so I deal with it. I have the forum bookmarked and don't go anywhere else, and silverfish emails go directly to junk mail.

Ah, good to know it wasn't just me. My ISP wouldn't do crap about it for a while if it was. Wouldn't have bugged me so much if I didn't have a torn MCL and was able to skate. Hah.

All part of website management. I've never heard of a website that didn't have these "problems". It's 100% normal.

Yeah - 16.7% of my rep (meaning 1) disappeared.

Yesterday morning we had some serious DB corruption.

We lost many of the large threads (action shots, chicks on boards, quiver pics)

We did a thread comparison to previous days backups and restored the missing threads.

I would expect to see some strangeness with reps and counts.

But we got the threads back, that was the priority.

I think if you have a post count of more than 1 per day, you should be supporting. this site saved me when i was sick and couldnt skate, so i realized it was time. and some of you spend more than $60/month on tv which isn't even targeted to your niche interest.

Eh, if I didn't have to pinch every penny I had for my impending surgery, I would support the fish and get Concrete Wave. Right about TV though Rob, it's quite dumb. Glad I know a few people who work for my cable company, and hooked me up with free TV. No way I'd pay for it.

Okay Rob, you convinced me to subscribe. I couldn't agree more with you about television either; I got rid of mine about two years ago when I realized that its function is to sell us more stuff we don't need, such as another television, another car, or another war.

Saw your subscription come across thought it was a result of this thread. Thank you very much. We try to stay out of the whole "give us money" thing. The reality is we need it, our hosting has gone up 3x since last year this time. New servers and admins need to get paid. When you think about it your subscription also provides business for all of the advertisers you see on the site.

The reality is, those of you that are not subscribing are going to start seeing ads for Unicef here pretty soon.

Success is great, but stability is more important.

Anything I can do to help? I'm broke and have dial-up but I know one or two (thousand) things about computers and what not. Your servers aren't running Linux by any chance are they?

Appreciate the offer but we are good, most of our issues are less server based and more DB based.
