Over the last few weeks, i've noticed my browser running very slowly whenever I load silverfish - it even slows down pages on other sites i have open. The actual page load times are somewhat acceptable, but I wonder if something could be done to cut down on the browser resources required.. maybe it's just for firefox (version 3.5.5), I can do some testing in other browsers
Do you have loads of tabs open or leave your browser open for a long amount of time?
Firefox has evil memory leaks that can end up with it taking up your entire RAM if it's left open for a few hours or you run loads of tabs. Just close down firefox and re-open to free up the memory again. Happens to me when I browse SF cos I crack loads of threads open.

Sometimes Firefox will leach out of my swap space (it's like ram, but it's a petition on the harddrive that's for emergencies when your ram is used up)
