Buy/Sell Issue: T.V.A.R.

Anybody else have issues with Zak in the Buy/Sell section? I've been trying to get hold of him for a few months over an item he was supposed to ship to me, but I never received it and he hasn't spoken to me since he got the money via PayPal. He agreed to the transaction but has evaded every attempt to contact him since then. I've filed a dispute with PayPal, but that is going nowhere fast. I held a lot of respect for the guy before this issue, but he basically lost all of that. All I want is my money back.

I've PMed him multiple times, but this is just ridiculous. No item. No refund. No response. It's complete bullsh!t.

By the way, I'm not looking to tattle to the Admins about Zak. I'm simply looking for any suggestions that may help me out.

He rarely comes on SF, he doesnt check his PM's when he is on here. You have to email him. He has NO idea you are even trying to get ahold of him, hes definitely not avoiding you.

Not to stir anything up, but PM's by default, unless otherwise set or if you have a full inbox, do email you. Also, I do feel that if you're going to post on the SF buy/sell, it's not really a good practice to say you don't come on the site often or don't check your PM's. Why post it on here to begin with then?

However, to the OP: I would do as Green suggests and try to email him outside of the SF system to see what happens.

Man, I hear you. It really sucks. Im having the same situation with Ckpcw. I don't really know what to do, I wish I knew this guy personally. We were communicating fine until I sent the Paypal, and now he won't respond at all. I've sent multiple PMs and even posted a message on his page.

This is all over (1) $8.00 wheel. If it was something more I'd actually be pissed and report him to the site, but c'mon man.. $8.00? Send me the wheel man! or at least say you're not going to...

I believe what Janelle meant is that there is an Email alert that is typically sent to the user.

Yes, what Boarder said... I usually receive an email that tells me I have received a PM at the website. It also contains the message in the PM. My apologies for the confusion.

I check my PM's and E-mail every single day.

If I don't other mods and admins know I will be away and cover for me.

If you sell on this site you have to stay in touch with your customers.

a phone number is better

Kai does (as he said), and MHM doesn't even have them. I don't even think Erik gets on here either...what is his call-name or whatever? Terrible examples. You don't need to make excuses for someone else, also PMs always get sent to your email unless you turn them off manually (as Zak apparently has). Also, if you are trying to sell something, it's pretty obvious you should check your PMs.

I pm'd him maybe 2 months ago asking about talons and he answered me pretty promptly.

I just sent a PM to Nafertikus. He bought something from me a while back, I shipped it. Though, it appears I may have shipped it to the wrong person or something and they didn't say anything since I do often throw extra goodies in with board stuff that I sell. In any case, after some time, someone filed a paypal dispute with me for the amount the banner was sold for ($25). Then, paypal sent me a notice telling me that the dispute had been "resolved" which in paypal speak means "they gave the guy his money back by sucking it out of my account. I thought the deal was done, no need to go any deeper.

So, anyway, I just sent him a PM telling him this and asking him to give me his paypal address if he in fact didn't already get his money back. I would be more than happy to send it again. I also gave him a more reliable means of contacting me (my personal e-mail address).

Bottom line is, I'm not out to screw anyone here, I just didn't really read into the situation in as great of depth as possible apparently. However, I want to give refunds where refunds are due so just let me know what the status is and I'll make it happen.
