Default "you should consider archiving or deleting some of your messages." But how?

    Dear JBH,

Your private messages box on Silverfish Longboarding - The Longboard Skateboarding Community has reached 90% of your allowed quota. To ensure that you do not reach 100% of your allowed messages, you should consider archiving or deleting some of your messages. Please visit this page to do so:
    http://www.silverfishlongboarding.com/forum/private.php
I followed the link, I looked and looked. I searched the site. I found nothin'. So I'm asking here: Is this "archiving...some of your messages" thing an actual site function that I can use? If so, where the hell is it and/or how do I do it? Or does "archive" simply mean some other clunky way of copying/pasting or otherwise manually saving PMs one by one?

(I do understand deleting, BTW. But I'd rather not resort to that...just yet, anyway.)

i'm not sure if this answers what you're after, but.... if you click on Private Messages and scroll down toward the bottom, you'll see this:

    Download all Private Messages as:
    XML | CSV | Text

you can download the whole thing in the format of your choice.

then theoretically, I guess you could click on the box to select all your messages and move to Delete, though I've never done that yet. btw, if anyone PM's me right now, it will bounce

yup by archiving they're probably referring to the methods of downloading them, so you can keep them on file somewhere.

btw whats the limit for pms if you don't subscribe. I'm up to a bit over 1000. which probably would be over the limit.

Yes, that's exactly what I was looking for (but for some reason couldn't find). Much obliged, JP.

As for SpeedDemon974's question: My account seems to have a limit of 500 total messages, according to this text near the top of my main PM page:

    Inbox contains 231 messages.
You have 453 messages stored, of a total 500 allowed.
