WDYT wasn't designed to be a dedicated rep party. The thread started as a mistake and became a fad. Though I am guilty of being a member, I think it's our choice as to who we give/take rep from. You can't ban all teams on SF. That's uncalled for and would be unwise.

I think rep is stupid anyways. I say we just get rid f it all together.

I started on this website about a year ago, there were a lot of loose cannons back then. Plenty of flaming (mostly deserved) and cursing, etc. Now I guess its more fashionable to just jump on a thread and say "yeah, me too, your awesome dude, I agree totally". Seems like having a dissenting opinion is frowned upon these days, and now we are not even allowed to curse. It's kind of sad, once something becomes popular it seems to lose its original character.

In SF defense, though, they have tolerated plenty of tom-foolery - it seems the members themselves have changed, where did all the funny trouble makers go?

it loses its luster trying to get these whippersnappers into shape, especially when they're people who dont take skating that seriously or dont care about it that much and just care about having a good time on the interwebs

I spend a lot of time on the computer because I live 2.5 miles away from an unmaintained, extremely rough, heavily traveled road. I wish I still lived in GA... I could skate out the front door, down the driveway, and continue down the road when ever I wanted. I didn't know what I had until I moved here.

True. It is fun. I don't think it's garbage. It's not much different than online gaming clans/guilds/crews or what ever the hell they call it these days.

No I wasn't getting offended. To be honest, I don't know where I was going with that. After I re-read your post, I realized I took it in the wrong context.

Either way, it just shows that some people, including myself, spend waaaaay too much time in front of this forum. I take skating pretty serious. I've broken up with girls because they interfered with my skate time.

Sigh... I want to do skate so bad right now...
