    I agree with Nik.

Maybe we should let Mark do it how Mark wants to do it. He's chosen to use one big, giant thread and apparently knows it's not too hard for us to click on the last page of it to see the "new news". If you want Mark to use a monthly thread, why not ask him to?

Daily updates are fine if they remain in the same thread. Or one per month is fine. Please, do not post daily updates in multiple threads.
That guideline seems to be working really well for Mark, Maria, Jack, etc... and resulted in several nicely phrased compliments to us. (That's in the "guidelines" sticky, FYI.)

The long thread can get unwieldy, but it's not horrible. I'd love to be able to break it down into boards, trucks, wheels/bearings, etc, but whatever works, works, right?

Yes, sorting through 12 pages of updates to get to new news is ridiculous,...

that is why you click on the last page of the thread to see the latest updates , it's quite simple......

.or you could start a whole new thread , to lobby for a new special forum to be started to make things easier for you ,that weren't very difficult in the first place

Nickle makes some good points. If the SFL powers-that-be want to try something else/new, I'm up for it.

Perhaps you should talk with them. Personally, I hope we never go back to having 3/4 of the first page of the Mfgr Vendor forum being all one vendor's posts, I don't want to see "Arms Races" for who can post more different threads that could be in one, and continue to believe that if Nick doesn't want people to clog up vendors' threads with chatter that it's a matter to take up with the chatter-ers.

I just counted 13 different vendors in the first 15 threads in that forum. That's a great amenity for members at Silverfish! I vote "No" on the idea that any vendor (not just Mark) should have a different thread for each product, etc... That's what their websites are for. Threads that are updated by the month are the bomb. Take us back to the old way? Hell No, I Won't Go!! No Justice, No Peace! If the Glove Don't Fit, He's Flexing his Hand!

I bet there's plenty of other ways to do things that will come about when those geeks bust out the new software version of the Fish. Maybe you guys should get together and talk about it. I have a suspicion that ideas about how to improve a free service will go way further than complaints that it's not free enough.
