User warning system needed.
I strongly believe that we need some sort of way to warn people of sellers habits and practices. If somebody is a bad seller/buyer, I feel the rest of the SF needs to know about it. Because of a recent incident, I am now REALLY hesitant to do any online business with anyone i don't know.
I feel this could ideally be done with an Ebay type rating system, where you could leave a quick message about how transactions went, however, this might not be possible with the way the site is laid out. If that was not possible, a sticky "Warning" thread, and a "Congrats" thread may be needed in the Buy and sell section. This way, you could just search through it for the user name you're dealing with.
Thanks for listening, and I hope this feature can be included very soon.

The best buy warning system on a forum is word of mouth..er type idk. anyway just put a subforum in the buy/sell section called feedback. People can post their expirences there and sellers/buyers can be looked up to see others expirences. However teh flipside is sections like that ususally erupt into huge flame-wars.

I've seen websites with "Good Trader List" threads, where the members can nominate each other to be listed, and it takes 3 or 5 nomination/transactions to get listed. The thing with "bad trader lists" is that people can drop their old screen name and register a new one in an attempt to evade accountability or a bad rap...whatever.

Yes but usually its well known that the person registerd under a diffrent name. Also buying from somebody with no feedback and a low post count is rather stupid in the first place.
