I know how much work this is, and I sincerely appreciate what's been done (and is yet to be done).

This is a free service that's invaluable to the longboarding community, and yet people are whining about how it's different than what they're used to (or that some kinks still need to be worked out). Boo-frickin'-hoo.

    Show some damn appreciation...

I knew when i logged on and saw that Mark had made a post in this thread it would be good. I completely agree with you Mark. We have this luxury of a place where we can gather, when for most of us there are maybe 5 other longboarders in our town. This is a privelage that we can't afford to be picky about. Plus, i thought the longboarding community would be the last to be gripping over the colors of a website, or how wide the margins are. True, there are a few problems that need to be fixed, but things don't happen overnight, give them a few days, and I'm sure the forum will be near perfect, and much better than the older one. In conclusion to my rant, I would just like to say thank you to all the admins and moderators who are devoting time to making a difference for the 'Fish. I truly appreciate it.

The intention of this thread was to help enlighten the abuse and sleep depravation the team has gone though to take the fish to the next level. The old server was peaked and it was just a matter of time before it too a dump. We are on new equipment that can handle the current load with out blinking an eye.

oh and yes quick reply handy to say the least

Question Re: Working Hard to Bring you a Better Fish

So, how are we doing? Do you see how fast the forums have become (have they?) since our man Dan tweaked a buffer control? Are the revised censor filters making more sense than the stock one did?

    Let us know.

When the forum was first changed, it was very slow and I could not use it from certain computers. Now everything is fine.

I'm very happy with the new forum. I really like the Posts since last visit option. I was wondering if the Search box could do search by post instead of search by thread by default (makes a difference for longer threads will multiple pages).
