So now when I want to post a pic on a thread I often get a message that the particular picture I was planning to post has already been posted. It even shows me the thread that the pic was posted in. But I can't seem to post that same pic in a different/new thread.

So can we only post a pic ONCE in ONE thread only? Or if we can post it more than once, how is that done?

so, you've already posted it in another thread by using the attachment.
this means it's effectively hosted on the silverfish server.
go to the other thread.
click on your attachment.
copy the url
come back to where you're trying to (re)post it
use the following format:
[img]this_is_where_your_url_goes[/img]
just watch the size of the photo you're posting.

if you (and SS) cant follow this, i'll do a writeup with screen captures & such.
