    Default Leather questions.

2PC MOTORCYCLE 2 PC LEATHER RACING SUIT ARMOR GREEN: Boltmen_Leather_Suit-Green Armored Motorcycle Jacket & Other Motorcycle Gear

I plan on getting these when i can save up the dough, and other than being a 2 piece (which i want [any reason not to other than comfort?] ) is there anything wrong with them? By wrong i mean, would there be any races that say these aren't up to snuff?

And i know this stuff isn't cheep, but are their any other sites with nice leathers under $250??

I really don't know much about leathers, so any words of wisdom are appreciated.

2 pieces zip together at the waist to make an effective one piece. But, it's one more point that doesn't flex when the body moves. I've been told that it's a tad uncomfortable in a tuck.

These exact same models are available on ebay for the same price, same specifications, but 1PC.

Take a look. I plan to order mine from ebay.

dude. get a shitty set of leathers for your first set. no need to spend more than 200 tops for your first set.

skating in them is much different than you think usually, and you'll find out what works and what doesn't work.

    happy hunting.

I have a $500.00 suit that is being sold for 200. Worn a couple times. Seems came loose in the back from sliding on my ass, learning to pendy.

But on the real, you have two options.

If you are a noobish rider, get a cheap set. Why I say this is because if they don't fit so well, you can still afford to sell them and buy new ones. Also, you might end up eating through a set fairly quick, so once again, able to afford a newer, nicer suit when you are more skilled.

If you are already a good rider, I say #### it and get a decent set. Why?
Because you'll crash less, and what is the need of having to drop another $200 in the near future because your crappy ones didn't hold up? Make sure you get the sizing and whatever right the first time. I had a shitty experience having to deal with wrong sizes, lying ebay memebers, and me growing 6 inches during the summer that everything has probably added up to a set of NJK's.

    Good luck man.

One problem that I'm having is that I'm not shaped according to these suits standards apparently....

    I'm about 6'3" and I weigh around 150 lbs... scrawny I know.

Do I go for leathers that are tighter or ones that are longer?

    BTW sorry for hijack lol.

Actually, i got the same question. Im 5'5'' and 145 and 9% body fat. So i've got a pretty stalky build. This is probly a personal preference thing, but do you prefer tighter or looser leathers?
