    Default Recovering from surgery

I had wrist surgery yesterday. They located a torn ligament and extra cartilage damage. I didn't have a really bad fall or anything, and now I'm in a splint for 3 weeks.

To prevent something like this from happening again I have been looking for some sort of wrist protection, and the only thing that comes close is the loaded slide gloves with the wrist slot. Any reviews on the wrist protection particularly?

P.S. sorry if my typing sucks or is incoherent, I'm on heavy painkillers right now.

Normal wrist guards with bigger gloves?
Snowboarding wrist guards like Protec IDS?
There are other threads on low profile wrist protection.
