Default Protec helmet, plastic shell is detachd from the foam

Hey, as the title says the plastic shell and the foam inner piece are detached so it slides a little bit. Is this fixable or is the helmet unuseable?

Put in a couple of strips of dubble side carpet tape and you are good to go.

Really I think it comes down to money. If you can afford a new helmet get one, that one won't protect as well as new, but its better than nothing. Otherwise, just carefully put the two back together with a little double stick tape.

Lol, you guys wouldnt use a helmet because the hot glue broke holding the plastic to the foam? Double sided tape should be way more than enough to make that helmet better than new.

Yeah its really not a big deal, attach it again and it should be fine.

Protec sells replacement liners so detaching the foam from the plastic doesn't make the helmet automatically unusable. If you are worried about the foam's integrity get this, its like $12.

I would say use some double sided tape or some velcro. Velcro is what they ship with the replacement liners btw.

Hey thanks for the replies guys. I've got some double sided foam tape so I think I'm going to use that for now. Eventually I plan to get a new helmet and pads and use the old one as a loaner for friends.
