leathers what colour to order???

My son is ordering custom leathers. We have had numerous discussions about colour and visibilty. He wants black. We say, no. I suggested grey, but the older guys say grey doesn't stand out on the road. Red with black highlights? any suggestions as to color for best visiblity?

you let your son DH, but then care about the colors of his leathers...

I hit an astro van not wearing any leathers! and even if i were wearing them, and they were bright, i would have still hit it!

i'm not trying to say anything, but i'm just saying...

You could get him black leathers, then find the little reflectors they put in between double yellow lines and glue them to him.

If you put like 20 on, he'd light up like a flashlight, and his leathers would be almost yellow.

I wear black leathers, and I've considered this.

or white, but use fluorescent paint.

or just say get a bright color or you wont pay for them. simple.

I wear black and they are f'n hot as heII in the summer. Thats the best reason not to wear them.

I agree with the others, tell him bright or you're not footin the bill...........but then again, I had a car pull out in front of me the other day (so I passed the idiot) and I was in a white T-shirt so I'm not sure there is a lot to be said about the visibility thing. Drivers are looking for other cars, not people on skateboards.

Yeah, it's not going to be a huge deal either way, but if it makes you as a parent feel better, by all means force him to get bright colored ones, won't hurt.

Yo, it's really simple actually. Get the boy his black leathers, but just make sure to light him on fire when it starts to get late. Cars will see him very easily, I am sure of it.

I've already got the plan for how I'm going to decorate my helmet and board soon. And my leathers (someday) will be K-Rimes white.

He has little reflectors all over his half-lid for just this reason, but his full-face is silver and has white reflectors on it. But he's now made his order. and Red with some custome black will be rather great, I think. Thanks for your post.
