Leather thickness question
Motorcycle Racing / Riding Leathers 2pc Suit
2PC MOTORCYCLE 2 PC LEATHER RACING SUIT ARMOR RED: Boltmen_Leather_Suit-Red Armored Motorcycle Jacket & Other Motorcycle Gear
Trying to decide between two leather suits. The one from J4Bs has more pads built in, but the one from TGL is a little thicker.
Does a little bit of thickness really make a huge difference? or should I go with the Thick one and just buy extra pads?

Re: Leather thickness question
the first link looks much better put together, and better leather.
just from looking at the pics though...
The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.

i have two friends with leathers from topgear leathers. they're ok for the price, btu the ones i linked you to are worth $6-700 new. i bought my fieldsheers in new condition off of ebay for $140 shipped, and they are much better quality than either link you gave. two days ago i found a set of used fieldsheers for $115 shipped - dirty but no scuffs.
it's worth waiting a little longer. good keywords are "fieldsheer suit," "alpinestars suit," "dainese suit," etc.
Well all the ones I found were in the $400 range, which isnt outrageous, but it's too much for me. I'll keep looking though.
