    Default Leather thickness question

Motorcycle Racing / Riding Leathers 2pc Suit

2PC MOTORCYCLE 2 PC LEATHER RACING SUIT ARMOR RED: Boltmen_Leather_Suit-Red Armored Motorcycle Jacket & Other Motorcycle Gear

Trying to decide between two leather suits. The one from J4Bs has more pads built in, but the one from TGL is a little thicker.

Does a little bit of thickness really make a huge difference? or should I go with the Thick one and just buy extra pads?

get fieldsheer leathers off of ebay. safer, higher quality, cheaper, and will last longer.

    for example:
SUPERB FIELDSHEER 1 PIECE LEATHER BIKER SUIT C43/W41" - eBay (item 270402310588 end time Sep-01-09 11:41:20 PDT)

the first link looks much better put together, and better leather.

just from looking at the pics though...

the ones you are looking at are $70 more expensive...

i have two friends with leathers from topgear leathers. they're ok for the price, btu the ones i linked you to are worth $6-700 new. i bought my fieldsheers in new condition off of ebay for $140 shipped, and they are much better quality than either link you gave. two days ago i found a set of used fieldsheers for $115 shipped - dirty but no scuffs.

it's worth waiting a little longer. good keywords are "fieldsheer suit," "alpinestars suit," "dainese suit," etc.

Well all the ones I found were in the $400 range, which isnt outrageous, but it's too much for me. I'll keep looking though.
