Default help finding triple eight foam

I've been meaning to get in the habit of wearing a helmet on my daily cruise back from school and now that I live further downhill, the commute will be a bit more intense. I have the protec triple eight helmet but it's missing the rear foam padding. I've seen protec foam online for $10, but does anyone know of any alternative you can use and buy locally and not have to order? School starts next week and I am broke, so could appreciate every dollar saved

thanks

protec and triple8 are two different brands.

If you could specify which helmet, I can look around!

glad to see you're taking an interest in your safety.

you can't show your parents that you need a new helm? That's the only thing mine will help me buy as far as skating goes.

well the tag says
medium
54-56cm 450g
Pro-tec
ClassicLand
En 1385
1998

helmet icon says triple eight though, so i assume triple eight is just name

Hard foam layer is about 11mm thick and the soft foam on top is about 4mm thick.

Probably should just get a new helmet although this looks safe, just needs that strap i guess
could ask family...maybe they would but were tryin to conserve and they're already payin a lot for tuition and everything so i hate to ask for anything additional

Sounds like an old Pro-Tec Classic. The helmet is 11 years old, the interior foam is probably dried up and brittle by this point. It's ability to cushion an impact is likely not-so-good. Manufacturers recommend a new helmet every 3 years or so - which is a bit extreme, but they're trying to get sales... 11 years? I recommend you get a new one.

We have a ProTec Ace Burnquist model (rubber black) in our scratch and dent area. It's the "old" ProTec size M/L for 55-58cm heads. We got it back on a return and had already switched our site to the newer ProTec sizes. PM me and we can work something out for you...
