Leather Modification
so i took a couple nasty falls yesterday and since my leathers dont have hip pads, my right hip is all messed up and i can barley walk. i was wondering if me wearing hip pads for football under my leathers would be somthing to consider. and do all leathers not have hip pads or is that just mine?
thanks

Re: Leather Modification
if the pads fit under them, yes theyd help with impacts but comfort riding and the extra bulk is another story.
not all leathers have hip padding, i think most suits will come with it and you could take it (i think i dont know for sure), when i had mine made i just chose not to have hip padding

Re: Leather Modification
I've taken jeans and cut the legs off, used the material to sew pockets on the insides and stuffed them with foam carpet underlay material. I'm sure you could to the same.
Though hip protection will be different than thigh and ass.

Re: Leather Modification
I have the same problem...my hips always take the brunt of my falls...i got a pressure vest from fow racing to help that, it has hip protection. pretty sure it wont fit under leathers so i would say sew in some foam or something...it should help a great deal
