    Default Leather Advice

So Im looking into getting leathers. I feel like im starting to get into the realm of higher speeds and really I hate getting bad roadrash. I was looking into NJK and Vanson. Anybody have good or bad things to say about these? Are there anymore other companies that make good solid custom leathers? Any advice will help. I want to make a well thought out decision before I decide to spend that type of cash-o-la. Thanks guys.

    Craigslist and e-bay.
Buy used leathers and feel better after a fall compared to wearing a custom suit.
    Syed makes good stuff too.

if you fit into a stock suit, get that first your going to fall alot when your learning but some people (like me) can't fit into them so have to get a custom suit right away. If your in that boat that sucks haha because its an expensive route. Syeds will be cheapest, then NJK's and Vanson will be the most (atleast from what i researched). Vanson makes great suits but nothing downhill specific. Syed has made a few but NJK has been developing them for awhile and i think makes a bit better of a suit but it does cost more I personally have an njk suit and couldnt be happier with it.

I don't have leathers but I've been looking into it as well and NJK actually makes leathers specifically for downhill. Supposedly they have the right flexibility for tucking as opposed to motorcycle leathers which are meant for sitting on a bike and can restrict your tuck.

When I have enough $ for leathers I'm definitely getting NJKs.

I think I will have to get a custom suit just by looking at the sizing charts they have. Im 6'4" 195lbs. long torso and shorter legs. just a weird combo really. i will try to see about some used leathers, i just dont think i will fit into anything standard. thanks for the inputs guys. please send some more advice this way if you got it please!
