Default Would Paintball forearm/elbow pads work?

Hello boys and girls, these little delrin pucks saves my hands this weekend. I took my first fall longboarding. Doing about 12 mph and flew off the end of my board... too fast to run it out, so I cheese grated on my stomach about 10 feet.

my forearm got gnar really bad, so I'm looking at some forearm/elbow pads.

Do you guys think something like this would withstand crashing on pavement? Or would these disintergrate sliding on as-vault? Empire 09 Grind Paintball Elbow Pads $45 dollars.

these might hold up better because they are plastic = 661 Race Fore Arm/Elbow Guards

or maybe regular old skaters elbow pads work best? decisions decisions

I used to play paintball a good bit.

I would not suggest their elbow pads for skating. They are for paintball, and are build to take the stresses that paintball has.

Paintball does not include dragging on pavement at very high speeds. They would get torn up in seconds.

For lower speeds, they would work fine, but once you get past running speed, you slide when for fall.

I would suggest picking up a set of 187 Fly elbow pads. I have a set, and they are top quality. They are very comfortable.

I can't stand their knee pads, though, they are like a tourniquet for me.

12 mph is pretty fast to run at when you're not really expecting to

The paintball ones would be ok for skating at a park or garage with really smooth terrain. Streets would rip them up pretty quick though.

I purchased the red/black empire grind pro $45. I'll wear them under a hoody. If I can only crash once or twice a year, that's great. I don't think I should imagine a world with no crashes. That would be queer.

I was a defensive tackle once

You would wanna go for the 661. I used to play alot of paintball and used the same forearm pads. It feels great when i do superman dives but i had my jersey over it. So if u fall on asphault it would shred after a couple falls.

I currently use the ones pictured below (661 Race). These are great protection and my second pair of 661 forearm/elbow pads. My first set didn't have the pastic caps, and got tore up after over a year of heavy abuse.
