Default Kneepad Mod for Better Fit

I had a set of Protec Kneepads from when i was a little kid. i tried them on the other day and they still fit, but are 8 years old. i decided to get some new fresh pads that arent torn up. so i bough some 187 pro knees. the only problem is that i bought the XLs and the straps still aren't long enough for me. i am a big guy at 6'4". i wear a size 50 Tall suit for heavens sake.

is there any way i can safely lengthen the straps without damaging the integrity of the pads?i need about two more inches on the top wrap around strap, and all the back straps. i need a few more for the loose lashing strap on the bottom (i cant even get that one into the wrap back buckle)

i hate being my size. nothing ever fits. i cant fit in a lot of cars because there in not enough head room. i cant see out of the windsheild because the roofs are to low and the world looks like i have that sun visor thing down all the time. i have to buy XXL shirts just so they are long enough that my belt buckle doesn't show all the time. suck being muscular and fat at the same time. and if i was 0* body fat i would still weigh in at 230... but in doing so i would gain muscle weight...

you could probly get a bit of velcro and sew it to the end of the strap making it longer. i wouldnt really mess with the stitching of the actual strap if i could help it

You think you got it bad?

    Try being 6'8". I know it's only 4 inches, but I couldn't imagine the possibilities if I were 6'4".

well then i will give that a try in the morning. i have velcro laying around from making gloves... so making pads work will also be a nobel deed.

I gotta buy XL shirts to get the length...

I'm mostly leg... 38" inseam. Think about how often you've seen 36x38 jeans or dickies... so impossible.

yeah... but at least you can buy pants in bulk. if you bought the same tee shirt, you would look silly.

still havent tried the velcro yet. i've got my last mid-term tomorrow so fixing pads isnt my priority.
