Re: Helmet Suggestions
the triple 8 doesnt ofer much protection but it has saved my noggin a good amount of time. it kinda molds to your head so after awhile it feels like your not even wearing one. it really light weight and cool (not hot)
but once again not as much protection.

Re: Helmet Suggestions
I don't have either of the other ones but I have the Triple 8 rubber brainsaver and it's saved my head a few times and its really comfortable and light. I also find its more durable than my previous helmnets. Hope this helps.

Re: Helmet Suggestions
CPSC means it should be replaced upon one hard impact. It's good for one hard impact. It does NOT provide adequate protection from multiple, low impact. This helmet is preferred for skating 25 mph or faster.
Non-CPSC is good for street skating, when you will just be falling at slower speeds. Non-CPSC provides multiple low-impact protection. They can stand a lot minor abuse, but not single hard impact (25+ mph).
CPSC helmets should be replaced after you suffer an impact. Some thing with Non-CPSC helmets and multiple low impacts. Always examine the foam after you fall to make sure your helmet will protect your skull. Don't throw your helmet around or drop it on the ground.

ALSO: you may want to double check. When you buy a helmet, call up the supplier and verify it just in case if I am wrong. After all, I am just some dude from the internet and your life affected. Plus, I'm only human.

I was wondering exactly what you mean by the last sentence, it will do well for ONE low impact right? You just have to replace it after that hit, rather than continuing on with it as you would a non-cpsc helment?
I'm trying to decide if I want a cpsc or a non-cpsc. I won't be doing any bombing for quite a while, i'm only learning and right now I just use my board to get around. But, I want adequate protection for the mild hills I'll try out...

Re: Helmet Suggestions
Honestly, when it comes to a half-shell, I'd just stick with non-CPSC. At the end of the day, a multi-impact helmet will still help out in a crash even above it's rated impact speed.
If you want to start going faster, and want more protection, then I would suggest getting a full-face.

Re: Helmet Suggestions
I find one of each to be most useful I have a non CPSC helmet for park skating, freestyle and dancing. I ordered a CPSC S-one from the tillman foundtion for freeride and light DH
