So, I've finally committed myself to buying a helmet. However, like most people, I don't want to look like a cheezer skating around with a lunchbox on my head.

So show me your rad ass helmets! Looking for half shells only, por favor.

Just got an Pro-Tec full of stickers. (maybe not what you wanted for inspiration

)

I think it is hard to find half-shell`s that looks really good. Next time I`m going to buy a helmet I will go for a Bern(one of the "hard-hats"). They are really good to wear, and they weigh almost nothing

. If you havent, you should check them out.

It is quite hard to find a half-shell that is a nice fit(IMO), so I recommend that you try as many as you can before buying one.

oh, and just cause it's a beauty pageant doesn't mean the bitches can't be a little roughed up or covered in stickers. bring 'em.

It might've been one of the more expensive helmets, but it's what my local shop had.

My girlfriend custom my painted helmet and now I don't even race with it ha...I went out and bought a $10 helmet off of craigslist to beat up.

The Red Trace helmet looks sweet. I think I might buy it. The cool things about is that although it's a snowboarding helmet, it is a crossover helmet and can be used for skating or biking as indicated on the Burton website. It also contains removable earphones, in case you're able to skate somewhere sans traffic...
