I think the nice thing about this helmet is that it supports a bunch of activities. If you're not into all the activities, it would beg the question as to if the helmet is worth the 200$ price tag. I like the snowboard/skateboard crossovers. So far, I've only found Burton Red Trace that has it, but for the cold weather that would be an awesome helmet to own. Plus, you can tie it into a set of headphones for jammin, but that could be a safety hazard if you're in the street...

Absolutly nothing other than it weighs the same as my Icaro skyrunner and its extremely well made. And it was a cristmas present from Moment Skis haha

NICE!! Apparently, they're sold here in Charlottesville. I may check them out, but doubt I'll blow 500$ on a helmet. I'm thinkin sub 100 is way more than I'd pay for a 1/2 shell. But to each their own, and you got yours as a gift. Stoked for you though! =D

Yeah If it was my money I would much much rather spend $100 for a good halfshell. And Yeah the guys up at Moment are pretty sick heres a link Moment Skis | 09/10 - Handmade in USA there sick! haha anyways For a half shell i'm riding a Bern hardhat, its pretty good for the price! But Bern's are a great alternative to tell you the truth i really like mine

if you take a (harder) fall with one of those POC half shells, will you have to replace it? or is it some memory foam type deal? having to buy a new one after a fall would be a bitch. my brand new bell half shell lasted two short sessions, glad it only cost 30$.

Its a fiberglass shell, wrapped in carbon fiber, with a plascitic coating. I need to find a visor for mine because i want to start using it for downhill and the helmets are the same there just a diggernet color
