alternitive to helmet?

i know you cant go wrong with a helmet. but is there any alternitives? ive heard alittle about this shock beanie. as i heard its a beanie that absorbs imapct. idk how it works or anything just what i herd. does anybody know about anything else?

I've never heard of a safe alternative to a helmet. Simply, you need something to absorb impact from a crash, and nothing practical has emerged besides the good ole brain bucket. With anything else, you're sacrificing your wallet and your personal safety.

A shock beanie uses a special gel called D30. It's a specially engineered material made with intelligent molecules. They flow with you as you move but on shock lock together to absorb the impact energy. This makes sense for creating very flexible padding that is very low profile and doesn't hamper movement. However, you may have noticed that your skull is a fairly solid part of your body that doesn't change shape much, therefore it makes much more sense to use a helmet.

There is no alternative to wearing a helmet, and why you'd want to try and find one escapes me...

I heard if you paste epoxy resin into your hair it can be stronger then a helmet. Of course you may have to let it grown out a bit before trying this.

Cut a watermelon in half, carve it out and it will work as a perfect helmet as long as you believe it does...or you could just wear a real helmet and spare a watermelons life...your choice

get a triple 8 brainsaver. it will eventualy form to the shape of your head and it barely feels like there is a helmet on your head. it also soaks up your sweat. its not somme super protective motorcycle helmet but its saved my head quite a few times.

just wear a helmet man. nobody wants to hear about you or anyone else gettting hurt because they werent wearing a helmet.

A few alternatives I've heard work pretty well.
First is helmet hair. Make sure you have a nice shock of hair. Then use some sort of styling product to hold it in place. Extra protection if it's shaped like a conventional helmet. This has worked pretty well for me with some mixed results. Example:

WEAR A HELMET OR DIE! My helmet has saved my life at least a couple times! Im not gonna trust a puffy beanie!
