who has had a fall that made people laugh?

today, i came down a hill in a residency area. and there was a guard house where they check the cars. i was playing snake int he guard cones. then i hit this plastic barier, causing me to fall backwards. the security guards at my place was smiling all the way, my ass,left hip/thigh/pelvis or whatever hurts and the guards think im a loser. what a great day -.-

I got one! i was practicing hippy jumps with my friends, jumping the lowest thing I could clear my board under (I was just learning). So I was riding on a dropthrough board and was doing ok until I jumped one time and my front foot landed square on a front wheel. I was flopped on the ground hip first and my friends hadn't been watching so they turned around and started lauphing at me rolling around on the ground grabbing my ass like an idiot.

i used to live across the road from a busy pub/club, many nights i was heading out or returning on my skateboard (drunk) and would fall over, then i would get a big cheer from the drunken hordes lining up across the road.

the worst was when it was slightly wet and i would fall over when foot breaking to a halt right at my door, it probably happened 5 or 6 times, the other common one was being too drunk to ollie and eating #### when going up a curb...

Three instances in the same night. Being able to see is a great boon when it comes to riding at night.

First off was a simple lapse of vision. I was skating along with my friend and I took the point. We transition from the road and onto the bike path. Or what I thought was the bike path. I ride into the curb and faceplant into the grass.

Second off, I just ####ed up and lost my balance, because #### happens. I ram my knee into the ground. No roadrash, though.

Third off, I just had to laugh about this one. I'm riding on the main road, because it has lights. My friend asks me, "Why aren't you riding on the bike path?" I say it's because "It's safer!" Right then and there, my kingpin impacts the road reflector in the middle of the road and I fall right over.

Those damned conventional trucks and their kingpin issue. I still love them, though.

This had to be the strangest fall I've ever had.

I was just carving down a hill with my friend at like 15. So as I'm going down my wheel hits a pretty big rock, causing me to be thrown off. There I am running it out right? My board decides it wants to beat me down the hill and rolls under my foot mid stride. I stepped on it, flipped, and landed on my board in a sitting position...unscathed. Note: I was still moving at like 10 when I landed on the board lol.

Not strictly longboarding, but it was still funny... One of my friends was learning to ollie a while ago and couldn't get the hang of it. The first time he really managed to get the board in the air, he seemed somehow to pivot at the stomach, landing his entire top half very hard on the concrete while his legs and the board were still in the air.

He still gets rib pains and refuses to skate any more. Looked completely ridiculous.

yeah.

when im riding in more crowded places and trip over a rock or a sidewalk crack people tend to laugh. it has happened 2-3 times. always sucks. get up as quickly as possible and skate away. i doubt it ever looks funny, people are just douchebags.

btw, i have laughed my head off over all of my roommates failed coleman attempts. i try to be encouraging though.

going about 20 mph, down a hill holding a camera, and I was to focused on it, and ( I'm in Pittsburgh, so there's some snow) I started to drift to the left, and my wheels went into the snow, and I went flying. The first thing I remember when falling is ' oh no, I hope the camera doesn't brake..' and I get up and see the camera ABSOLUTELY FINE... so I think 'ok well lets take a look..'
And look down to my left wrist to see 2 lumps appearing on the top of my skin. So one of my friends come down and start to laugh saying I did a face plant , and I'm just like 'haha...ow' I go to the doctors and found out I broke my ulna and radius, and my radius popped out, I have to wear a cast for the norm of 5-6 weeks, got a pin in, next Tuesday I'm getting it out.. bout two weeks to go now..

true that. what i meant was. if i break the camera. i could still skate. if i break my wrist, i cant skate. though i dont skate with my hands.

My mom doesn't let me out to skate saying "you want a matching cast to go with that?" when she catches me, going UPHILL, 2mph. But I sneak out and board in secrecy...
