    Default slide gloves and kneepads!

honestly, i don't wear helmets. i don't have a simple skate or biking helmet, never got one. i do, however, have a fullface motorcycle helmet i'll throw on when i take out the speedboard or feel like i'm going to be pushing it. i most usually just wear sliding gloves (homemade) and harbinger mountainboard kneepads. no matter what kind of skating you're doing, your speed, or location... you can almost always come off onto your hands and knees and controlably slide to a stop. the kneepads have flat pucks made for sliding on at speed, and are very comfortable. they do not budge up and down or change position, and stay locked with weight on them. slide gloves are becoming a necesity in skateboarding and everyone should own atleast 1 pair. so, if you're going to do it without a helmet, do it with kneepads and gloves instead.

in my opinion helmet first the gloves second then kneepads, but yes glove help alot, if they i didnt wear any i would have nice and tasty hands to go along with my elbows right now

The only competition in life is yourself, but be warned it loves to throw challenges in your face, just to make it a fun experience..
