    Thumbs up More full faces

Malakai mentioned to me that he's looking for a full-face, so he can be like his new idol, Ha...er, well so he can "save face" in the event he goes down on one of the Ninja's night-raids.

Some good deals hiding there, and this one's local to Kai...

Good question, I'm guessing that they are since they are made for bikes, but I'm not sure.

I've been using the Azonic T-55 for the last 2 years for speedboard races and it's a really good and affordable helmet. It's really light and comfort is ok. Periferal vision is excellent and in tuck you can see has high as you want. I made the shields out of lexan and used car window film.

I've broken a helmet off my head in a crash that ruined a nice Colnago...I hope you replaced that helmet after it saved you! Theyre only good for one good hit.

That's for sure! One hard hit and the Gecet foam will micro fracture or worse. --Just like it's supposed to.

It kills me when I see skaters bang their helmets on the ground to make noise or act cool. Funny, in a Darwin Awards kinda way...

The prices on Full-Face MTB helmets have come down quite a bit!

All the time... mostly on a motorcycle, but it applies. Easiest to fit are Oakley e-wires (or anything with straight ear stems) - lid first, slide them in, clear as a bell. I even wear sunglasses with the full face when I'm wearing contacts.

Oh yeah, i wear contacts on this speedboarding pic but most of the time i wear my glasses, my tuck does suffer from trying to see through them...

I can put this helmet on without removing my glasses.

I have a full face made for motorcycle and dirt bike riding, took the visor off and it needs a face shield! How do you guys make and bend yours, then attach them?

Not stupid at all, just not as aero but if you are not racing it doesn't matter.

If you want to make a visor, use 1/16" lexan it's a lot better and safer.

You can start by using a piece of paper and trace the shape of your shield so it fits your helmet perfectly, mark where you will make where to screw the top on the existing holes you often have to hold the sun flap thing.

Once your shape is perfect, cut a piece of lexan larger that your shape and add the tinted car film on the outside (so it wont wrinkle) if you want some use a mix of water and a little soap to move the film and squeegee after. Trace your shape and cut it with big strong cisors. Make you holes and screw in place. Stick some self adhesive velcro on the bottom sides of the shield and the helmet so it stays closed but can open.
