Helmet:Full Face or No?

Riding around in the NYC is one of my favorite activities, slide gloves, knee pads and helmets are a must, but what about the helmets? Should i invest in a full face helmet rather than just the skull cap type? If so, what brands are out there for me to choose from? BMX, Motocross, Motorcycle...the option just seem too many, anyone have any opinions about this?

PS going to S. Korea this summer, raise your hand if you think traffic is to crazy out there to bomb some hills?

Really, it all depends on you. I've always skated with a normal 3/4 helmet, but the other night while bombing a Garage I realized that was hitting speeds close to what I was at when I crashed my motorcycle (I was on a dirt road, dropped back wheel in to truck rut while drifting back wheel around turn). The only reason I still have a face now is because I always wore a full face on my bike. All the paint, part of the surface, etc where ground down. Is it a direct comparison? Of course not. I was on dirt and I only skate on asphalt, but having been in a situation where I slid face down at those speeds I know that I don't want to do it in a 3/4 helmet.

For me personally though that was enough for me to order a full face. I'm probably only going to where it when on steeps and garages, and I'll wear my 3/4 when on streets and stuff. More importantly though, I personally almost always wear a helmet, regardless of the type or terrain. Oh yeah, I ordered an Azonic t55 as recommended by many on the 'Fish

Anything over 20mph and im wearing my full face. Any corners, full face is on. Love mine! Get a regular popsickle helmet for just cruising if you want.

Unless you ride alot of DH I would just get a regular helmet.. Looks way cooler if you are just cruising around in the city
