There's no point in fingerless gloves. You'll probably end up regretting it with chaffed fingertips.

Moral of the story is: just make your own gloves. It's cheaper. And more durable. There's no reason to purchase sliding gloves.

Pssh what a joke. I ride with fingerless slide gloves along with most of the people I slide with, and none of us ever drag our fingers. It is common sense to not drag them so it isnt hard to keep them raised above the ground. Also there are several bonuses to riding fingerless gloves...You have less pucks on the glove to get caught on cracks, you have full finger availability so you can reach into your pockets, open doors, etc... without taking the gloves off. Gravity gloves also have a little bit of extra wrist support then most gloves which is a good thing if you slam hard onto your hands.

A guy I work with slid his first time with fingerless gloves and by the 3rd run he figured out how to not drag his fingers. It isn't rocket science.

Not if you want to use them for speedboarding, too.

Did i not shut you down in the last slide glove thread you posted in? what were you sayings o wait ummm

"you don't need slide gloves they don't do anything"

Buying slide gloves is a good plan if you don't have the tools or the time handy. Go with the landy gloves or lush gloves pucks are easily replaceable once the stock ones wear down.
If you make your own there usually uncomfortable and the gloves are usually low quality.

Are you kidding?!? That is the best time to use them because you can grab the rails if you need to with your available fingers. Have you ever even tried fingerless gloves.....?

so let's stop it right here. we had small a batch of polycarbonate a year or so ago which wasn't as heatproof as the older stuff - but we've switched back to a stronger material which is now even stronger than the original stuff.

we're currently tweaking our slide gloves for the next version and welcome any rider input - if you own a set and have any suggestions for us we'd love to hear from you. we've already got the team telling us stuff, but extra input is always good.

Question to you, Rich: When I went on your site it looked like your gloves are unavailable for shipping to Canada. Are there any other dealers you know of who can ship them over here? Thanks.

i would NEVER speedboard in fingerless gloves. i even feel unsafe in full fingered gloves without serious knuckle protection. i have seen shredded knuckles before, mostly on lugers, but on speedboarders too, and have completely worn thru the kevlar on my lush gloves in one crash. i dont really grab rail when speedboarding, but when i do, i dont have trouble gripping with finger pucks on my gloves.

PS most racing organizations wont let you race with fingerless gloves.

Well that is ####### lame because I can't stand riding with fingered gloves. I bet I could show up to a race wearing a regular skate helmet, my fingerless slide gloves and my board and beat a majority of the other riders. It isn't about what you wear when you ride, but your skill level.

in never said fingered gloves were FASTER, i said they were SAFER. same goes with open face and a t shirt vs full face and leathers. you can wear what you want, i can wear what i want. im just making sure people arent misinformed. youre an experienced enough rider to make your own decisions.

on the thumb issue: lift it up! it's not that hard, and it's not like you need it for balance when you have your palm and fingers down. one who blows through the thumb is using the gloves improperly. NBS pucks are key.

I love the lushgloves for DH riding. Get of the fingerpucs for mure grip on your board and your set.

Mine have lasted for 2 years now (with some sets of pucs) and I'm buying some new ones for myself for Xmass
