sabs are good. just dropped a few from last month. keeps you young and on ur toes.
read and agree that after a crash and initial pains you feel better. must be something to the body healing itself and being rejuvenated

Re: Whoe Else Is Recovering From An Injury.
i fell and landed on my hand at least a month ago and i thought i just bruised it. but it did hurt a lot more than usually falling.
for the next two weeks it still hurt bad. hurt to put weight on it doing push-ups and stuff, and i thought it got better. but it was still a tiny bit swollen. nothing scary, no discoloration at all.
today i realized the bone kinda pokes out more than the one on my other hand, and in addition there is a ligament or something, maybe a bone chip going over the top of it that i can mover with my finger. it clicks back and forth and its not very comfortable. i just tested it, and doing pushups on hard surfaces is no bueno.
i guess i have to go to the doctor. damnit.
i broke my elbow the same way, and it didn't even touch the ground. i thought i bruised it, since it didn't hurt that bad but i couldn't move it that much. and waited two weeks before going to the doctor since my parents were out of town. i guess i dont really feel broken bones as much as i should?

Re: Whoe Else Is Recovering From An Injury.
Palms at the end of the wrists and the left elbow still sore from the crash 4 weeks ago but er said nothing was broken.
Now I'm hobbling around stiff legged after twisting the piss out of both knees Friday afternoon. I think (hope) I've just strained/sprained the ligaments or whatever and guess I'll give it a week and see how it goes.
Speedy and complete recovery to all you with the broken bones.

Re: Whoe Else Is Recovering From An Injury.
well, i went into what i like to call split mode the other day.
its your board and front foot just leave the back foot behind on the pavement,
and the end result is a slipt, with your knee dragging on the pavement
so now i have a crater just under my knee cap.
but its not affecting my skating. i actually learned my first trick yesterday.
just like a little hand shovit that i learned on my 22 inch POD!

How have I missed this thread?! I've been out for 5 weeks due to a bad car accident with no signs of improvement. There is nothing like looking at my favorite set ups and not being able to ride them.

I have to go to physical therapy or the chiropractor 5 times a week on top of a concussion. Both think I might have permanent damage to my back. My sense of balance is throw off too on top of short term memory loss, but that might be temporary. I finally dialed in my bushings for an 09 Avenger with 66 zigs and 42 Prandals. My double dropped neme is set up with 50 randal's and flashies. Aww man, I want to skate soooo bad haha.
