Turned my foot round backwards at the park 10 weeks ago. Snapped my lateral maleolus (end of my fib/outside ankle bone), severed my deltoid ligament. Now got a plate in my leg and another six - nine months before I can skate again. Rubbish.

so today i went back to the doc about a month and a half since breaking my ankle to get a new cast. they chopped the old cast and took xrays, then had me clean my leg off with some wet naps. FYI an unused leg in a cast is gnarsty haha. but i found out that instead of a cast, i was getting a boot and i can start to put weight back on my leg!!!

this is a lot better than the 3 months i was told to not even weight my ankle, my recovery times has essentially been shortened 2 months!!! so instead of 5-6 months its looking like 3-4. im super stoked and cant wait to hop back on my boards and use them under my feet rather than under my butt like ive been doing.

only 2 months or so to go and im back!

today was a bummer,took out the board for about 5 min.
cut the big toe open with about a 1 inch gash trying to big spin barefoot

Well I was practicing my tight toeside turns on this small and fairly narrow path, and my wheels slid then hooked up right away and sent me slamming into a concrete block...

Soft tissue damage in my shoulder and some joints are out of place, I can barely lift my arm. Minor damage, though, I should be able to skate within the week, and be pain-free within two.

im recovering from 2 injuries, both sustained within a month of each other. cant stay off my ###### board!!! the first, my ###### fat stupid friend ran into me from behind, and hurled me face first into the concrete. the second, i hit a hill that was way outta my boundaries at the time. had my trucks too loose for carving, got the wobbles and ate it.

Well other than the usuall injuries im sure most of us suffere from every day...I was in a 3 car crash about a year ago, it knocked my spine of alignment, spent 6 months at a chiropractor, and now have permanent but very slight scoliosis. People driving while on cellphones are so cool

August 13th 2009: Broken ankle/leg in 3 places while bowl skating at the 316
August 14th 2009: Surgery to repair includes 7 screws, 1 plate and 2 small clips
December 13th 2009: Back out for the first time on a longboard. Feels so good to be back on a board! More Pysical Therapy to come, but at least I'm rollin again!

In the last 2 and a half years I've had;
3 broken ribs from surfing, each one separately
re-broke 1 of the above snowboarding
cut my shins, yes both of them, down to the bone one at a time either surfing or speedboarding.
cut my ankle open from the side of my foot to my ankle bone on a brand new surf fin the first time I used a new surf board. It now looks like I've had an operation on that foot.
rebroken my nose when I got hit by a surfboard, the first time I was hit with a spinning backfist at a sparring class at Kung - Fu. (although that was a long time ago)
put my teeth through my lip, surfing.
broken two toes
Skinned my calfs, elbows and back more than once. Have a nice scab on my calf right now.

Glad to hear your rolling again. Your injury was only 10 days before mine, I've got about another month on crutches (2nd surgery on Jan. 8th)

just to day after fat bombage (for me ) first run 37.3 balls out. Second run 33.7 car pulled up in front of me i air braked halfways down the hill. But thats not when i got injured...
I felt that was enough for to day cause i dont want to push my luck 37 was my fastest.
I was heading down the hill sliding and speedchecking until at almost the bottom i did a check, the rough road gripped my wheels and threw me forward off the board. I landed on my right sideand tried to catch my self but my glove slipped out and i dislocated my shoulder.
so i was like wtf! and popped it back in.

i have road rash from a session last night. and @huntaboi I have dislocated my shoulder before and had a friend pop it back into place.. it is one of the most painful things that has happened to me. I have also broken a collar bone skitching a truck that got into a car accident

woot! This morning was the first time since 11/20 I was able to lift my right knee up high enough to put a sock on standing up instead of bending or sitting down.
