im recovering from a few skull fractures (not complete so no casting or whatever), a slight concussion, a ruptured ear drum, and a split scalp. i also bruised my pelvis pretty badly because it hit the ground first - lucky me.

it all happened on sept 1st and im almost back on my feet so far as my functioning and going to school is concerned. I was relatively immobile for a week and a half and that was worse than the pain. i still have horrible headaches, dizziness, and fits of blurred vision every now and then but its getting a lot better. my stereophonic hearing isnt back so i can't decipher people's words when im in a crowded or loud place - that to is getting better but slowly

radiused lemon zigs will be the death of me... or maybe it was the gravel littering the corner i was taking.

Yeesh..I remember about a month after I got my first board, which wasn't really all that long ago, it was raining one day and I was trying to make a sharp turn. My board slid out, and my head hit the ground. I passed out for a minute or so and was asking the same questions over and over to my friends for the next ten minutes (Oh yeah, and they just stood by and watched as I lay in the street). I forgot a lot of things about that day and had a horrible headache for about a week and some short-term memory loss.

That was hell for me, especially cause I was trying to hide it from my parents. I can't imagine how you feel right now. Get well soon, heh.

I rolled my ankle like 3-4 weeks ago and it never healed since I contined to skate on it. And then on Saturday when I was skating a skatepark, my front foot rolled off the front of my board during a trick and I re-rolled it pretty badly. You could see a giant lump under my skin after it happened, not sure if it was bone or a snapped muscle/tendon. I could physically hear and feel two different things *snap* when it re-rolled and the entire left side of my foot is still black/blue and swollen. I have kept on walking on it for the past few days though and it can surprisingly hold almost all my weight. However I get shooting pains up to my thigh if I am standing for too long, hopefully it will heal up soon so I can get back on board.

haha yeah i dont remember ####! I did the same thing asking my friends the same questions over and over again ("What happened?" "Where is all the blood coming from?). I kept trying to stand up and they'd tell me not to, i'd consent, then just stand up when they didnt expect it. it happened a few times. They said i just sounded pissed off and was mumbling. Luckily they called the EMT when they noticed the blood coming out of my ear, as if the split scalp wasnt reason enough.

I still havn't heard the full details of the event in order, god knows i dont know how i behaved. thanks for the well wishes, i appreciate it.

Still recovering from ACL reconstructive surgery. My flexibility sucks compared to what it used to be... it's hard to get low in those corners.

Just came came back from the ER . 6 hours worth . Had to get 8 stitches in my right eyebrowl and i cant hear out of my right ear .. Not to mention I have roadrash going from my ass to my heel

I dislocated my shoulder twice in an hour on the 2nd day of football 2-a-days, I was supposed to be out 6-9 months with surgery, but said #### it to that, decided to rehab it, was supposed to be out 3 months rehabbing, but I'm back 5 weeks later and starting at receiver! I'm completely stoked on being able to play football/longboard again so soon when I thought it was going to be out of my life for 3 months minimum. I still don't have full range of motion without it feeling weird, but it's all good

holy crap. thats intense
a while ago i hurt my wrist, and then hurt it again a few days later so it got worse. it still hurts but only if i twist my wrist really far or if i put any weird pressure on it. its getting better though.

well true recovery starts today...in 3 hours I go under the knife for a plate and a few screws in my right ankle
