i've been knackered for a while!

i got one injury early last year that has never cleared up. my right foot and ankle. buggered.
initially as it was getting better, i did the same ankle, again, and then again.
then i had a nasty crash on my whole right side.
all my fault.

as a result, last year was not a particularly good year for improving, but i still got stuck in.
now, things are beginning to finally settle down, but my right wrist and ankle are still constant niggles.

i tend to ignore it and get on with things, but it certainly slowed me down (just as i was speeding up )
and the killer blow? was to my confidence.

How did you manage that?

It was the first time I had been in my friends basement and you had to duck down to about 4 feet to get down the stairs. We were down there like 3 hours, and upon exiting I jogged up the stairs at full height with the lights really dim. I have a nice gash right by my nose/eye haha.

Dislocated my shoulder ( 5th time) after a car pulled into the middle of the road. I didn't even have time to try and avoid it. 35 mph t-bone into an escalade. I tried to put it all Bruce willis style and I blacked out from the pain. Good nrwscis I'm starting therapy after three weeks in an immobiliZer. I'm praying the doc doesn't decide I need surgery.

Got some nasty wheelbite and got ejected, bailed hard on my left wrist and pretty sure its sprained (again). Nothing new, lol. Can't put weight on it, but it doesn't look bad and at least I can still type with only minor pain. Looks like I'll be cruising around this week rather than practicing learning slides.

My knee's are hurting. (Catcher in baseball for 7 years)

Last summer sprained my right ankle, never fully let it heal. It still bugs me from time to time.
Last Wednesday bombed a hill and fell at the bottom at around 15 mph because of some train tracks. I knew they were there, I hit them at an angle, but whoever designed them decided that putting 1.5" of space between the tracks and the cement was a good idea. Yeah, 70mm wheels didn't make it even at an angle and stopped dead in their tracks (pun intended). The road rash on my knees and left elbow is still healing, it wasn't too bad compared to previous road rash incidents I've had...
Friday, I was racing some friends up at Mt. Hood while snowboarding. It was super icy because it hasn't really rained/snowed in a week or so, and I caught an edge on something sticking out of the tiny layer of snow. I tumbled for a good 60 or 70 feet, cracked the foam in my helmet in two places, and got a minor concussion. My head hurts like a bitch at night and my neck is sore and stiff as hell 24/7, to the point where I can't lift it up while lying down without using my hands as support.
F*ck concussions.
Almost forgot that in third grade I was diagnosed with JRA (Junior Rheumatoid Arthritis) in both knees. It went away after taking 6 Aleve a day for almost a year straight, but has started to come back in recent years with my skating habits. It gets to the point where I can hardly walk after skating for more than 4 hours in a day. Going on hikes gets interesting towards the end, too.

If you're in pain all the time, you're not alone, most of the world is f*cked up in one way or another...

i tore my calf muscle. i cant take it ne more. hopefully i can get back on my board by next month.

Two Wednesdays ago I bruised or most likely tore my meniscus (according to the doc). It was fortunately small, so I can walk. The part that sux is that I can't run, board, or anything with any impact higher than walking.

Maybe I'll reteach myself to push mongo.

first dry day in my town for awhile. Rode my board to physics class, and afterwards went to a little local hill that carves at about 25. I remember getting on it, and then waking up in the hospital. According to the police report someone gave i carved really hard into a little gravel spot and the board went straight out, making me rack the back of my head and neck the curb going 20-25, fracturing my lower right skull in 5 places, Just got out of the hospital from 7 days in yesterday. Im lucky to be alive, and am glad to be able to be one of those posters now that can really say, trust me, where you F***ing helmet, i wasnt just this one time.

dude i feel u i fractured my skull in early January. prepare for nasty head aches. hope u heal soon.

i was hitting a nice little mountain road today and when i got to the railroad tracks at the bottom i tried to throw a coleman and leaned too far back on my hand and ripped right through my gloves.I went on dragging my hand on the asphalt for another 20 feet and took a real nasty chunk out of my palm.kevlar reinforced triple 8s my ass!

I fractured my right wrist in two places skateboarding in Moore, Oklahoma. I had to go under anesthesia yesterday for the doctor to "nudge" my wrist back into place, because it was moved 20 degrees up. Now i have to wear a splint for 3 to 6 weeks until i can get a real cast, and until then i can't skateboard or play guitar.

My left wrist is tweaked kinda bad right now...It was fractured last year around this same time, but I never got it fixed so it healed up by itself. However, I took a fall on it a week ago and it has been hurting ever since...Not sure if I refractured it or just sprained it, but I cant skate for like 4 weeks now. Ive been in a pissed off mood ever since, especially since I was skating everyday. Hopefully it heals up soon though because I reallly dont want another cast on my arm and I realllly want to skate.

my left palm is currently one giant bruise, and my shoulder is recovering from the same crash.
