i haven't ridden my Kracked Skulls board going on 8 days now. i feel nauseated, sick, light headed, my hands wont stop shaking. i got some serious issues. haha.

Im down in nashville recording a cd and the only board i cud bring with me was my derringer 28. had fun riding it around but Nashville got some mad/sick hills that i wanted to bomb but i'm deff not goin down with a 28'' board with original trucks. it would be death!

Found this sweet lil hill in austin yesterday we bombed it a few times.. could not have been more than 35mph. Well there was a street half way down the hill i figured i would practice cornering at speed. Well i tried for the corner and the pavement was so rough my board glided out from under me and i slide butt first towards the curb luckily it was slightly curved and so i did not break anything but i walk slower than my grandfather and it takes me five minutes to get in my car.

    Two weeks with no skating.............
i guess i will be playing my keyboards alot these next weeks lol

I have a broken collarbone... 1 1/2 months before i can skate again....
sucks balls. I was reeeaaaally close to sending the bone through the skin according to the ER doctor. Its gone down but still got a crazy little bump at the base of my neck.

Im passing the time by watching dogtown and z - boys 10715878057124890 times and messin around on a balance board.

    fun times.

i got some road rash on my shins knees and palms. i was walking the plank and for some reason had to bail and instead of landing with both feet on the ground, i landed with one foot on the board causing the board to slide out and my body to flip around and land with the boards grip tape shredding my shins and the gravel on my knees. it was VERY fail indeed. o and i stabbed myself with a pocket knife on accident trying to get a pill out of a case.

First injury yesterday.. Wrecked at 35mph+ down hill in shorts and a t shirt. Haven't gotten any sleep since because its too painful to lay on all my scrapes and bruises. I don't think anything is broken, though my hip bone is bruised for sure.

well, honestly i wish i had any one of your guys' problems right now. instead, i lay here in my bed, barely even able to roll over on my own.

about a week and a half ago, i was skating a 65 mph hill with a few friends. next thing i know, its a couple days later and i'm looking into some flashlight. i still don't know what happened but now i've got this 'nifty' back brace and about 30 staples down my spine (and thats only the visible part)

looks like i'll be lurkin on here a lot until i can physically start my own rehab in about 4-6 months. if you guys have any questions on how i cheated death, i'll do my best to answer. peace out

well thanks for the interest. there is a 2 day gap in my memory, but here's what others have told me.

60-65 mph hill here in CO.
Riding with a friend who can name himself if he wants.

We were drag racing down the main stretch that becomes some chicanes.

    Heres where it gets fuzzy.

Coming into the second sweeper, i think he hit a rock. we have great trust in each other's abilities and ride together all the time, so we were VERY close.

the rock caused him to wobble and take out the front of my board i think.

he was luckily able to control the general direction in which he slid and landed safely on the side of the road from what i understand.

Me: not so lucky. the turn we fell in happened to also have the ONLY ****IN GUARDRAIL on the ENTIRE ROAD!!!!!!!!!! gay.

I slid on my side on the road, kept sliding and hit the guardrail with my back (still don't know how and never will), and continued into some ditch.

now i sit here typing with 2 rods, multiple screws, and MANY staples down my back thanks to about 6 or 7 broken vertebrae.

this all sucks very hard and i wont be able to do anything for about a year, but on the other hand, i will be able to and hopefully making a complete recovery to an accident that could have EASILY ended my life.

unfortunately pain killers dont do much for me but thanks for the good wishes.

helmet was a charly, heads fine, not even a concussion. i think the gap in memory is from passing out due to shock/pain.

hmm after my latest spill (although nothing compared to yours, i was borderline broken tailbone) i have been contemplating ballistics jerseys and impact shorts for moto-bikers under leathers just to reduce the chances of broken tailbones, vertebrae, etc........

Anyone heard how well this helps?

after this i might be looking into spine protectors. i think there is a point where having a lot of protective gear limits flexibility which in turn could cause worse crashes. just my thoughts.

well...I'm in for a 6 to 8 weeks stint without skating. 2nd degree ankle sprain. torn ligaments. full tibiotarsalcast and crutches for a month. I'm almost ashamed for my pussy-ass injury, comparing to some of your injury stories. wish you all a speedy recovery. all the best.
