how a fullface should fit.
Hi!
I know, I could probably find this on search, but I don't have time.. I have a problem with getting the right helmet. I've tried a Remedy, and it felt really good. The thing is, it felt comfortable and firm, but i could wiggle it up and down. This happened to my friend when he bought a bell drop, so he got the remedy instead. But it's the same thing for him now, we both can wiggle it.
And I don't that a smaller size won't fit. So, what do you think I should do`?
Should I look at another helmet, or buy a smaller size and hope for the best?
Thanks a lot and sorry for the crappy english.

I tried on 5 or 6 brands of helmets before I found one that fit snug with the shape of my head. I tried on a bell drop and laughed, it feels like ####. Its like "Mattels My First Fullface" made for dolls or something, it feels so unsafe and shitty. Find a local shop that has a ton of brands and try them all on, dont settle for a piece of #### helmet
I tried to find something that would give as little play as possible and be snug to my head without being restrictive or uncomfortable. Put the helmet on, tighten the chin strap to your chin so its comfortable but secure, and try to move the helmet up and down. If it moves far enough up that it exposes your chin , then you'll probably risk smashing your chin on the street if you fall.
Also take a look at the chin strap, you want a helmet with a "double d ring" not a shitty plastic clip. If you're going fast enough to need a full face you dont want that #### to jump off your head when you fall.
like this

not like this regular chinstrap on a skate helmet

I love my giro - its one of the most comfortable full-faces I've had. Apparently the fitment system inside helps make it comfortable for almost anybody's head. If I grab my helmet I can move it around a bit on my head but its not really loose, and especially with the chin strap - its not coming off my head.
Go ride - Wear a lid!
