Default Add 2Stage foam to full face helmet?

I have started to look at full face helmets, mainly downhill mountain bike ones and have noticed that many of them have that normal foam garbage that you see on all the bicycle helmets.
I was wondering weather I could buy two-stage foam liners and replace there rubbish cm(quarter inch) soft foam , to make it more comfy and more safe.
I understand that adding this extra foam might make me have to get a larger helmet than usual.
    Is there anything I'm missing?
    Will this be a dis-advantage?
ANY HELP WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.

    2-Stage Foam - Info
Foam packs that I'm thinking of

    Suggested helmets
    GIRO Remedy
    Bell Helmets - Full Faces
    Netti Jackal Helmet

Though I will be taking out the foam in the helmets, the polystyrene stuff will still be there.

The two full face Bell's were already suggested. As were a few other helmets...
Those azonic helmets look cool, though quite pricey and shipping hasn't been added to them. But they aren't 2-Stage foamed, they are EPS, though nicely done.
    Thanks for the help still.

Modifying a helmet will make it everything but safe. 2 Stage foam won't do a lot of a good when you are doing something you need a full face for, like going 40+mph.

Have you worn a mountain bike helmet lately? The soft padding is actually pretty comfy as is. (After all, it's designed to be worn all day, hitting jumps and drops and... yeah I'm a mtb guy.) Adding more soft foam might be a bit cushier, but it will not provide any extra protection, because it doesn't prolong the collision. From what I've read, your head will just go right through it if there's any kind of hard impact. That's why those skate lids with only soft foam inside are not certified.

You should get in contact an expert and see if going a size up to fit more padding in detracts from safety, or not.

the pro-tec 2 stage foam is soft foam and that won't do you any good falling at 40+. liek others have said most Dh mtb helmets are very comfortable and have thick soft foam and eps foam.

I thought the Protec 2stage foam was half soft foam, half hard foam?

Anyway thanks for info, I guess I won't do it, I just thought that it was a cheap way to make a helmet much better.
(I'll close this thread in a couple days if this trend continues.)
