    Default good safety gear

so I've tried searching the forum for some good reviews and I'm getting mixed answers, especially about the triple 8 3-pack which i was planning on getting...but now I'm not sure.

are there other brands that I should look into? there was another thread that had these 661 pads that seem pretty lightweight and nice, but I just wanted to see what my other options are.

    any suggestions? thanks

oh yeah I'm looking for kneepads, elbowpads, and possibly wrist guards too

you've got pro design which run about $105 for knee pads, 187 pro knee pads which run about $70, and 661 dj knee pads which are $34. it's all about personal preference i love my 661 pads and they are a great price. honestly you would be happy with any of those choices. as for elbow pads pro tec ones work fine and are cheap

I have been using my pro tec park knee and elbow pads for most of a year. They fit well, are comfy, and cheap. I got the elbow and knees for 50 bucks total. Build some sliding gloves as opposed to wrist guards unless your skating park. In time, youll see why. What kind of helmet have you gotten?

these are triple 8's higher quality version. I hear the ones you are looking for are pretty crappy and don't last very long. This website has got some other cool safety gear too.

yeah I made my first slide glove out of velcro and corian samples. It works really well, except there's a huge gap in the wrist area so I got some better gloves that have a little strap to seal the wrist, which I'm in the process of making right now. I have the pro-tec classic helmet that I got years back, so all I'm looking for now are some elbow pads and knee pads
