    Default My Giro helmet. :/

I dropped my Giro helmet on the concrete by accident and now the foam protective liner is coming out. What a cheap piece of ####.

Can I just gorilla glue this mother back in?

As long as the foam itselft is not danages, just moving around, then yes, glue will work fine.

I am going to glue it until I can afford a different helmet. I sure as hell don't feel safe with this cheap piece of garbage when the damn foam liner pops out.

Does the Triple 8 brain saver have this issue? Is it just a common element with these types of brain buckets?

The foam is what saves your life not the shell nor the bond between it and the foam. The foam is meant to explode upon impact transferring the energy meant for your skull away from it. Dropping helmets onto a hard surface can easily cause the desired effect of the helmet, damage upon impact. My Giro has taken a few hits on dirt and is still intact. It hasn't hit anything too solid, thankfully.

Are you saying my foam liner has exploded? Because there are no cracks or damage to it whatsoever...

DO NOT GLUE. The fumes from the glue will render the helmet useless.

you might want to take a look at it if you can. it may have some cracks in the foam, if so, it's done.
what I'm saying is helmets are meant to be destroyed on impact so if you drop it on the ground, don't get pi$$ed when it breaks.

My old Giro Flak had loose foam in it. It doesn't make any bit of difference, it protected my head quite well in a fall at 35 mph. Of course it was done after that, but loose foam definitely gets the job done.

My mother snagged me some spray glue from her boyfriend. It's got low volatile fumes and it's non toxic when it dries.

Supposed to be some gnarly stuff. But the glue needs to cure for a few hrs. I didn't plan to ride today anyway because I pulled my quadriceps muscle and re-pulled it yesterday doing midnight foot races with my friend. Haha.

I'd be very wary of combining aerosols and styrofoam.

I actually decided against it and went with double sided tape. But the piece of garbage helmet liner's forehead piece sheered off while I was pressing it (lightly) into place.

Glue will destroy the foam in your helmet.
