    Default Low Profile Knee Pads.

So i have been looking around for knee pads for a while, but i cant find any that work for me. I really need a set with a low profile otherwise i wont wear them. They need to be comfortable and compact, but they need a hard knee cap so i'll be able to slide when i fall. Any one have any ideas?

I turned down Mike's 187 Pros because they were too big to be comfortable. That was the same run this happened...

Ouch. Pro-tecs are relatively low-profile and have lasted me a long time. I hear good things about 187 flys for DH so check those out. Also check the comet thread, were talking about low profile kneepads.

Hey man. Comet, under their cometogether series is working on affordable, yet functionally longboarding apparel so check it out in this thread:Comet- Creative Design for Affordability

so yeah man, post up about it, and include that pic if you want. Jason and the guys at comet are looking for more input about this idea... as well as the other ones that have been mentioned.

Thanks. I was looking at those. Now they are definitely in for consideration.

I use these ones I got them by recommendation of some local riders

Telemark Knee Pad: Voile Official Site - backcountry splitboards, skis, telemark bindings, and avalanche rescue shovels

They are real low profile and they seem to be enough if you have to slide out on them.

^^^That's not going to hold up on a good fall. They will slip up once you fall on them because the 2 small straps aren't secure enough.

I got a set of XL size Pro-tecs, they're pretty good and relatively low profile, but the right one doesn't fit very well - the calf on my pushing leg is almost too big for it to fit! Knew I shouldn't have been pushing uphill several times a day for the past two months.

I just picked up a set of large 187 flys from here,

187 Fly Knee Pads - Knee - Fast Girl Skates

It looks like they still have some in stock.
