they have a nice look to them but I can't say that I know a damn thing.

I can tell you that if your looking for cheapish motorcycle helmet for a ready to go fullface I would check out the icon alliance ssr, and the scorpion Exo series.

I have the icon alliance and I love it. It's definitely on the lighter side for a motorcycle helmet. The only time it's heavy is when I'm carrying it back up the hill. It's got amazing padding and fitsvlike a glove. It's got a pretty good field of vision but not as wide as a motox helmet. It just really puts a smile on my face every time I ride with it.

My friend swears by his scorpion exo 700. But it's 220$. I'm sure the earlier exos such as the 300s are the exact same helmet anyway though

The AFX FX-37DS is a good helmet, DOT rated so it's damn safe and it's not quite as heavy as most motorcycle helmets. My main complaint is that it's not that comfortable (strange pressure on my forehead, never had that with any other helmet).

The visor it comes with is good and all, but I prefer to make my own visor and wear my lighter and more comfortable Bell Drop.

I think there was a thread on this helmet already. But it's supposed to be pretty nice.

That helmet also comes with three or four different visor colors, big plus.

any helmet that is used for DH skateboarding is a dual sport helmet. get one that will protect your noggin and you should be as alright as you can be.

Edit, i also have a motorcycle helmet for sale...

130 bucks shipped. like new. barely used. never fallen, never crashed, barely even sweated in.

retails for 189.99 so it's a pretty good deal.

i may be willing to negotiate a price.

I'd say the afx is a better deal than the giro remedy, which i love, but is bulky as shiizzz

Tradition sense, dual sport is normal moto and enduro style

AFX is coming up with a new version next year. Can't say much now but the visor issue will be a non issue.

oh and found this on the net

I got the AFX 37 and i will have to say that it is a pretty decent helmet. It really does not feel like that much weight on your head but you can tell that it is there. the only problem that i have is that it fogs my glasses while the visor is down other than that i have no complaints about it.

I've been eyeing this thread for some time. Just a bit reluctant to post. I just find it peculiar that the full face that I own looks EXACTLY the same in terms of appearance to the AFX FX-37DS Helmet.

Spyder. Sister company/same company different name I wouldn't know. But what I do know, is that it is a bit bulky for its size but still quite light despite being motorcycle helmet. Fits well on my head, comfortable, good vision, and the air vents actually work and ECE/DOT certified (not sure which one).

And on the plus side, it's affordable!
