81a Gumballs and sliding

Hello fish members I Just got my apex today and rode about ten miles I tried to throw down a 180 slide right before my house to no avail I was going a decent speed and was very confused as to what was happening

Practice, I suppose. But was it toe-side, or heel-side? 1 hand or 2 hand? I always found 2 hand harder to slide. I always thought Gumballs were some of the easier wheels to slide.

its not my first board i was able to slide on my vangaurd but i had o'tangs on it

If they are new wheels they need to break in. Just keep at it, wear the edges down a bit, get through the mold release and you'll be fine.

I have to disagree with that. Any wheel is ok when its super coned though (well most of the time anyway).

but trying something once and not being able to do it isn't an indicator of thread-worthiness.

Go back and forth in front of your house for 30 minutes, you'll have that 180 before you come back.

I slide my 78a gumballs all day long. The 30 minutes back and forth trick works good too.
