I can slide frontways pretty good but can't coleman slide. I can do it on my friends socal skater pin with 83a wheels but my arbor pin with 78a's just makes it near impossible. Wher should I practice and should I just get harder wheels? Also there is a screw missind on my back trucks that attaches to the board is this causing anything to not slide?
it would help if you put one in there but i dont think that why your having sliding problems, from my experience a good solution is if you know what the coleman slide is but your having trouble doing it; go out on a hill on a wet day preferably not raining but still wet and try the coleman and it will work like magic, then you will know what to do it when its dry and it only gets better from practice
i've slid 78a arbors from some overpriced board at mainland and i've also slid some gumballs. it's very well possible. i guess it depends on the technique of your slide.
if you're doing a legitimate coleman (not grabbing the board), maybe you should try grabbing the board for just a little bit of a push. of course you don't want to tug on the board. but just for a bit of reassurance, give it a try.
