I recently bought a sheet of UHMW on ebay and when I used the gloves today, it sucked miserably...I bought this because everyone always raves about how it is so good. But when I used it today, it felt like it was "sticky" and wouldnt slide very far...Someone please tell me that it just needs to be broken in or something like that...

Solid white in color and the texture is very smooth.

your first mistake was paying for slide pucks (free pucks from home depot)

there are many, many different types and more importantly QUALITIES of UHMW. It's cheap on ebay, because well.... it's CHEAP. Order from a big dealer like McMaster Carr, or find a local plastics dealer.

Its the caffiene!

UHMW should have a very slippery , almost greasy feel to it when you run your fingers over it.

I use it for tablesaw jigs because it lets the wood slide through the table easily.

sounds like they mixed up U"LOW"MW (ULMW) plastic instead of shipping you UHMW...

home depot, go to the kitchen section, over where they have all the samples
dig around in the drawers for some corian, ask for it, or just walk out.

target has cutting boards for really cheap and Ive found it to be the best plastic Ive used thus far, melts super easy and is slick as #### make sure you get the whitish clear.
