Hey

I don't want to be redundent, but I have a couple questions. What Durometer should I have for my wheels (my current durometer is 75A)? I own a Sector 9 City Crusher, on which the trucks are spaced an inch or two from each end of the board, and the board is 29.75 inches long. Is this adequate?

Thanks, Sir of Spades

Well how do you like how the current wheels feel? If you are in the slide forum I'm guessing you want to be sliding, so 75a simply won't do. It's a small board, so if you want to use it for more park/dogtown type moves then you'll really want to bump up the duro to over 88a (in general). However on a small board, hard wheels can make the ride very uncomfortable.

Tell us how you want the board to feel and that will help us help you.

Default Drop knee problems

I am having trouble with the drop knee position. I can squat down just fine at the 10 and 2 positions but putting my whole back foot flat on the board is basically impossible because my knee doesn't bend that way apparently. What am I missing. Is this going to hurt my sliding technique? Does anyone have tips on how to have really good drop knee form? Is drop knee form that important? Any pictures or techniques that will help me do this better? A lot of quesitons I know but I am just starting out and that comes with the territory. Any help would be much appreciated.

i had a problem with the drop knee stance when i first started as well. my ankle was still healing from a nasty near-break, and i physically couldn't bend that way without searing jolts of pain.

it's kind of an awkward position if you haven't done it before, but try doing some leg and ankle stretches/exercises before each session. you'll find it becoming easier with practice

Question Re: New to sliding?

any1 know how good the new DH bear grizzlies are? i'm thinking of picking up a set because i'm looking for a set of "lower" trucks. do they turn as well? the hangar can still be flipped for carving/downhill. also, i know it's possible to slide with pretty much any board, but how would a rayne timeline work... too much flex? i'm just learning.....

i have a pair of 1052s. brand new but they have a nice flow. i have this weird neutral where i dont have bushing resistance. i had to get a slighty larger washer for the bushings also cause the stock one(got them from landyachtz) became engolfed by the bushing when i weighted.
