here's my customized set of the new 187 Kneepads. they are by far the toughest kneepads made. and for less $$ then PainCheaters and ProDesigns, they are the best of the top end kneepad market, hands down.
$120 will get you the standard black/black, you'll have to get a quote for custom sets like these, but Vinton at 187 is the man and can do pretty much anything you could ever imagine at a very reasonable cost.
solid . one question though , I cant tell if on the sides they are sliders or just a tough fabric, I would assume they were sliders but cant quite tell.

Crazy, those look super awesome tough! But I'm pretty sure Redundor's customs would last about a thousand years longer. Hey Redundor, post a pic of those crazy things (if you haven't already)...

i'll have to check on the gel, i haven't ridden any of the pro-park pads, but i can tell you these are damn comfortable.
to get them, use the contact email that's on the 187 site.
and i highly, highly doubt any homemade custom would last a fraction as long as these. 187 has been making pads for years for the biggest names in skateboarding(ie: Hawk, Mumford, etc..), these are using materials that would cost your average person waaay too much to be beneficial on a cost/labor factor, not to mention the kneecaps are proprietary and damn near indestructable.
Trust me, your pads(awesome as they are, and I'd totally love a set) aren't even in the same league as the monsters I'm talking about. Yours are much nicer looking though. So, full marks there... Redundor's are just plain frightening.
