Also I was only able to get 7 samples (2x2) from the lady working there before she started to look annoyed. Any one have tips on "corian puck" configurations?

I may go out to lowes on the opposite side of town and try and grab more.
Someone just told me the adhesive on industrial velcro works ok w LOTS of pressure, then superglue it where and if it fails. Can't remember his pressure technique...

When we resoled our rock climbing shoes, we'd glue them then lay them each in front of the the front tires of a car, roll up onto them, and park it on them overnight.

I've never done it w velcro and gloves, but will try it very soon.

I don't know if it's mentioned anywhere in the thread already, but what do you guys use to cut your pucks from cutting boards? Hack saw? Something else?

Jigsaw as I hear it.

Q: How about fit for these hardware store gloves - on the tighter side, or..?

My friend had one he had made awhile ago and the glove was really lose. It worked ok, but there was always the fear of it flying off, so a little bit of tightness might not be bad. It would definitely be a lot less sloppy.

Thanks for the quick reply on the jigsaw. Is there any other way though? I don't really have access to one atm.

i got pucks set up with holes for shoelaces, once the gloves were tied to the gloves and i added shoe goo glue and still.. didnt use them for fear of them ripping off. my prof gave me his loaded gloves and in a week i was doing pendy toe sides and coleman slides.. its a confidence in your equipment deal.. also with the "pro" pucks ti appears there is less friction so it would be easier to do anything

I happen to have a cutting board and a jigsaw on my desk - cuts pretty well just by hand, no power. Maybe a jigsaw blade in vise grips if you want to make round pucks. A little keyhole saw or any wood saw should work too I, would think.

Thanks for the info, I'm gonna try this out today. Maybe a velcro strap to tighten the gauntlet around wrist would be a good addition.

My first pair i cut with a hack saw, the second pair i made i used a jigsaw and it made my life so much easier. I also suggest just melt the damn pucks to the glove i've never seen anything work better

i got loaded gloves too. i love them. i feel like the delvrin (sp?) is wearing down kind of fast though. i know im using them properly and i have them set in my palm so that i use the whole puck and make sure it wears evenly rather than one side. but i dont know if they're worth the money i paid for them. actually, thats incorrect. the GLOVE is great. i like the glove a lot. but i wanna see about using different companies pucks to see how they compare.

anyone got comments?

I want to see someone make a fingerless sliding glove setup. Then, for the fingers, melt rings part of the way into the sliding material. ala inverted brass knuckles? kind of? If someone made that they would undoubtedly be hard core (duh!).
