My friend used some gorilla glue or liquid nails for his homemade slide gloves. He also had the same problem and glued his ipod earpieces to his ears. It's not permanent and worked quite well.
The $15 Skull Candy ear buds that they sell at Target work pretty well.
in my experience, skull candy is dirt! complete garbage. all looks, no show! and these were like $80 headphones.... plus their customer service is a joke
i had some skull candy's that last a few months tops before one of the speakers went out. apparently they come with a lifetime warranty! bullshit! i emailed them prob 4 or 5 times before i got my return number. i mailed my headphones back to the factory... never have seen them since.
in conclusion, fcuk skull candy! they are perhaps the worst company i have ever dealt with

but to the OP,
just get something that goes around the ear. i've got some sonys that are great... like $15. my ipod has literally been dangling on the ground behind me while i was bombing a hill, and they stayed attached to my noggen
that said, don't get too invested in skate headphones. i've gotten cords caught up under the wheels and shredded the crap out of my last pair
I haven't tried the wireless headsetts from logitech, but I've broken the rim of three wired logitechs that I practically got for free. So for walking around town? Maybe. Sliding? Doubt it. .... All though you could try reinforcing it with ductape

Ya, i think i might try it, even though i bet sound quality is pretty shitty.
