Default 44" board still can slide?

Hey guys I only got 1 board in my arsenal and it's my 44" board. I am getting the hang of bombing some of the hills around my house but I still don't know how to stop. I tried sliding earlier today with my homemade glove and it doesn't even bulge . maybe it's because I'm 5'6" 115 lbs idk.... Any tips to help me with this problem I just want to learn the coleman at least!

Got any pointers for doing so? Dont you put all your weight on your front trucks and try to slide the weight from your back trucks?

Actually yes, you are correct, but 44" is not that too long, you should be fine, just make sure your wheels are really broken in

ya i learned to slide on a 44 inch board
its not too bad just make sure you have some pucks on your gloves so they slide too
basically unweight your board and put weight on your hand
turn sorta... and you should be sliding

Just practice, thats all there is too it. If you really go for it, you will do it, get some good saftey equipment so bailing=fun and then go for it all out.

The LBL drop-pin is 44'' and it slides just like a baby ... no matter how disturbing that comparison is.

im about 130 lbs and can slide my 46' pin with no problem... my friend who is smaller than me has some problems, but at a decent speed with commitment you should have no problem... try practicing in a parking garage... hit some corners fast and it should slide just fine for you.

thx for the advice gonna grab my board and scrap my ass up. Should I wear any protective gear such as kneepads? Just need to overcome the fear of speed while trying something new.
