Default Spliff Slides

Bustin Spliff + slide?

Him and I are having real trouble sliding these boards.

My trucks are loose enough that I can rail-grab turn and be going completely the other way within a turn that has a radius of... about 2 yards. Is it just that my trucks turn instead of sliding?

I've been using puckless gloves for a bit now (the pain!) and I've got as good of a technique as I can, but I'm just struggling. Any suggestions?

My suggestion would be to not use puckless gloves!

The Boca is a very soft and sticky wheel. I think you'd be better off buying some harder wheels to learn on, and then try and slide the bocas.

Sliding is overall ... more possible with slide pucks unless you're trying to learn bert slides. The wheels should not be holding you back, but if they're fairly new you might need to break them in to make them slide out easier. So if you don't have any slide gloves with pucks melt yourself some plastic cutting board on those gloves of yours. I'm not saying cutting board is the best option, but it's the easiest and cheapest.

Loose trucks make it easier to get into a slide if you ask me because it allows you to turn into your slides.

Thanks for the help, I'll throw some gloves together before the week is out!

So I just went out and slid! I got a slide down where I grab the toe-rail and slide heelside, w/o a handplant, and a (sometimes) a standup slide on my toeside, no hands or grab.

Its fun! (and i really need pucks, and reinforced fingertips, those drag a lot)

Thanks guys!

Picked up some Landyachtz slidegloves (for some reason there's no corian and/or cheap cutting boards where I live, wtf) and now I can Coleman! First try and I had it. I've got a toeside slide sorta down now, too, with both palms on the 'crete in front of my chest and tail sliding around.

Anyway... now I can bomb any hill I want and not have to worry about destroying myself!
