I've always needed slide gloves because I'm sick of making my hands bleed. The problem is that slide gloves are expensive! So I made some homemade ones. I thought I might share how i did it.
Gloves from Lowe's $5
10 Arizona tea caps $1 each (I drink the tea every time I board)
Elmer's wood glue from Lowe's $3
Super Glue from Lowe's $2
I filled the caps with wood glue and waited 3 days to make sure it was dry.
I then super glued five of the glue filled caps to the gloves
One on the pinky/ring fingers, one on the pointer/middle fingers, two on the palm, and one on the thumb.
The metal burns away pretty quickly, but the glue is more resilient and has worked very well.
The super glue will lose its strength and you will have to re-glue but it doesn't take much.
Hoped this helped any of the other people out there who don't have $50 laying around.
Industrial Strength velcro works like a charm. I thought since it's velcro the pucks would keep on falling off, but they've lived for a long time and the pucks are still tightly in place.
